Ethical Decision-Making

Scenario 1: I think that it is unethical to go through somebody's personal belongings. If I really wanted to know what the papers said and dealt with, I would ask her when she got back. If I did go through the papers and found something I could use, it would be dangerous to use it in the paper anyway. She would have probably known I was alone in the office and would be very suspicious if she saw I printed something from the papers.

Scenario 2: I don't think I would do this. I feel like I would be out of my place to trespass like that. Also, we found that it was unlawful to do that from the resources on the class website. If the company found out about it, it could lead to legal action as well. I think it'd be a better idea to gather the information that I need by enrolling as a patient and experiencing it that way.

Scenario 3: I know for sure I would not use the quotes. It's complete plagiarism in every sense and it is not okay. If you quote someone, you must give credit to the person who said them and there is no way I would do anything but give them credit.

  1. Good decisions.

On #2, getting admitted as a patient is unlikely if you're not ill/disabled. A better bet is to talk to former/current patients and their families.
